CISWA has a comprehensive Professional Development (PD) Program consisting of Workshops + Seminars designed to educate, inform and provide staff who work with international students the opportunity to network with peers.
PD’s are attended by people working within the international education sector from a wide range of educational institutions including; higher education, VET, government and non-government schools.
All workshop attendees receive a Certificate of Participation which demonstrates their ongoing Professional Development in International education.

12 Sept | Bhutan: Effectively supporting students and working with institutions
Bhutan is a growing source market for international students for both Western Australia and Australia. This workshop will engage industry leaders, students, and providers and representatives from Bhutanese community to exchange thoughts on best practice in supporting students and opportunities for working effectively and engaging with institutions in Bhutan.
Venue: Canning College from 9.30am to 12.00 noon
The workshop will look at:
- How we are tracking with enrolments and commencements from Bhutan across various sectors
- The cultural, social, and legal opportunities & challenges that students from Bhutan face
- Engaging with students and consulates
The workshop will be of interest and benefit to all staff/student mentors that student from Bhutan.
