2025 WA INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAM OF THE YEAR AWARD
The CISWA WA International Education Program of the Year Award recognises the work of an individual or team in a Western Australian education institution that has contributed to the welfare or support of international students. For example, communication support programs, pathways initiatives, or social inclusion activities.
Additional weight is given to any activities which promote interaction with Australian students, with the local community or help students settle into life in Australia.

Eligibility Criteria
- An individual or a team who is a current financial CISWA member.
- Institutions must be a registered CRICOS provider.
- Unsuccessful nominees may be re-nominated in subsequent years.
2025 Key Dates
- Applications open: 19th September
- Applications close: 14th November
- Judging completed/Winners advised: 27th November
- Awards event: 11th December (evening)
- All award winners announced at StudyPerth AGM and End of Year Event

The University of Western Australia’s International Student Link is the winner of the 2024 WA International Education Program of the Year Award.
This program exemplifies a comprehensive, dynamic, student-centred initiative, focusing on academic, social, and personal support under four key pillars: Wellbeing, Educative Support, Career Development, and Social Integration. It stands out for its comprehensive approach, offering an extensive range of supports to many international students. It has a student-driven focus, with 50 International Student Ambassadors providing peer-led support.
The program addresses critical areas such as workplace rights, rental rights, scam prevention, and wellbeing, ensuring students feel supported both academically and personally. Notable successes include the vibrant International Student Lounge and excursions fostering community and cultural integration, collectively impacting over 800 students. The impact of the program was clear with positive testimonials and results with participants consistently rating it 4.8 out of 5 over the 12 weeks.
