Have you ever thought of inviting an international student  or two to your home at Christmas time?The Council for International Students of Western Australia (CISWA) was founded 40 years ago for the purpose of looking after the wellbeing of students from overseas. One of the major concerns of the Council is to foster international understanding and friendship by encouraging students to mix with the Australian community as much as possible.

Many students are unable to return home for the long Christmas holiday period and can become quite lonely during this period.

For a number of years now the Council has organised the Christmas Hosting programme. This has been aimed at those students and their families “left behind” during the festive holiday season.

CISWA would like to hear from interested community people, to consider opening their home and heart and sharing an “Australian Christmas Day,” with one of these students.
